Hello! My name is Pyo Ng and I am a huge cat lover. Debuneko means 'chubby cat' in Japanese and I feel that the word has a nice ring to it. My love for cats, the Japanese art scene, combined with my passion for visual arts has inspired me to create Debuneko.
I believe that creating art can be magical and soul-fulfilling when nurtured with love and care. Hence, I would like to inspire everyone to believe in the power of visuals. My art direction is inspired by Japanese Ukiyoe, with the combination of modern simplicity.
I currently work as a freelance designer during the day, and work on my passion projects during my free time. Most of my work are logo based, online visuals, printed materials and merchandising designs.
I am based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and worked with clients from local and abroad. My previous career revolved around Marketing and Communication and Project Management. I am open to collaborations and commission work.
